Description

Urgent appeal for donations! We urgently appeal to kind-hearted individuals nationwide to swiftly donate RM 25,000 for medical expenses to assist in saving the life of a premature baby boy who is unable to breathe or feed on his own and is in critical condition. Let’s help him get out of danger and back home as soon as possible!

Case No. 1846: Baby Wong Sang Wah was born at 27 weeks and immediately admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) due to various health complications resulting from his premature birth. He relies on a ventilator and feeding tube for survival. His father is unable to afford the medical expenses, so we earnestly implore kind-hearted individuals nationwide to donate generously, enabling the baby to recover quickly.

His mother, Lian Xuan (43 years old), sadly recounts that her son, Wong Sang Wah, was born premature (premature birth refers to those born between 28 and under 37 weeks gestation, with less than 28 weeks considered extremely premature). At birth, his head was smaller than her palm, weighing only 1.08 kilograms, with various health issues including brain hemorrhage, brain and lung infections, anemia due to hematopoietic function issues, and intestinal bloating causing constipation. To save his life, the baby must remain hospitalized, and seeing him in pain brings countless tears to his mother.

According to medical reports, Baby Wong Sang Wah suffers from Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) due to prematurity, maternal chorioamnionitis, and recurrent aspiration pneumonia.

Lian Xuan is a homemaker, and she and her husband have a 4-year-old son who was also born prematurely at 32 weeks. She and her husband have been married for many years and faced numerous difficulties before having two children. Lian Xuan admits that due to her short cervix, she is prone to miscarriages, so she cannot move around like other pregnant women and must lie down to reduce pressure on the cervix.

When pregnant with their second child, Lian Xuan knew her body’s condition and stayed in bed for over a month, hoping for a full-term pregnancy. However, at 27 weeks and 4 days, she suffered from severe pain and ruptured membranes, leading to an emergency delivery. Due to prematurity, the baby had to be admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for treatment. During treatment, his weight dropped from 1.08 kilograms at birth to 800 grams.

Since their son’s admission to the ICU, Lian Xuan cries every day. She describes seeing her son’s tiny body covered in tubes, unable to breathe on his own, and enduring so much pain, which brings tears to her eyes. After three months of hospitalization without discharge, her anxiety only grows. Even during her postpartum recovery, she couldn’t rest properly as she was constantly worried about her baby.

Husband Wong Kuen Sin (42 years old) deeply appreciates his wife’s sacrifices in bringing forth their two sons. He is grateful for her selfless dedication to creating a perfect family. Thinking of his wife enduring so much suffering brings tears to his eyes. Now, like his wife, he appeals to kind-hearted individuals nationwide to save their suffering child.

Lian Xuan is a good wife and a great mother, and she has a wonderful husband. She thanks her husband for his continuous support. Due to her efforts to maintain the pregnancy, Lian Xuan couldn’t do much except get up twice a day—for bowel movements and bathing. “I couldn’t manage household chores or take care of the child. He (the husband) had to take the eldest child to school, buy groceries, cook, work outside, and take care of the child. It’s been a difficult time for him. After work, he still has to take care of the child, feeding him and giving him baths.”

Lian Xuan always approaches problems with a positive attitude. She thanks her children for choosing her and her husband as their parents. Despite her hardships, she never complains, displaying genuine maternal love that is truly moving.

Baby Wong Sang Wah must remain hospitalized for treatment. The estimated duration, according to medical reports, is another 3 months, but he still cannot breathe on his own. Therefore, the treatment duration may change, and the estimated medical expenses are RM 35,000. Dad Wong Kuen Sin has managed to pay RM 10,000 but cannot afford the remaining RM 25,000.

Wong Kuen Sin, a salesperson, struggles to support his family of four. Their savings were depleted from the medical expenses of their first premature child, leaving them unable to cover the costs of their second premature child, Wong Sang Wah. In their helplessness, they seek assistance from Da Ai.

At the request of Lian Xuan and her husband, we have initiated a crowdfunding campaign to raise RM25,000 for Baby Wong Sang Wah’s medical expenses. We appeal to kind-hearted individuals nationwide to donate generously and help save the precious life of the baby boy. We also hope that everyone watching this video will help spread this message and assist the baby in overcoming his suffering and growing up healthy!
