Description

A newborn baby is desperately waiting for a chance to survive! We urgently seek kind-hearted individuals to come to his rescue, as he suffers from a hole in his heart and heart failure. He is currently in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), awaiting life-saving surgery as soon as possible.

This baby boy, just over two months old, can only survive if he undergoes heart surgery to repair the hole. However, his impoverished parents cannot afford the overwhelming RM80,000 surgery costs. They humbly appeal to kind souls nationwide for emergency donations to save this precious life.

Case No. 1978: Bhone Pyae Lyan Kyaw (Baby of Tin Mar Soe) was rushed to the NICU immediately after birth and diagnosed with a 2.7mm Ventricular Septal Defect (commonly known as a hole in the heart), which has led to heart failure. An urgent heart surgery is critical to save his life.

In addition, the baby is also suffering from congenital pneumonia and has been reliant on ventilators to breathe since just two hours after birth. His condition remains critical, and he cannot survive without an oxygen supply due to the hole in his heart.

Doctors have advised the parents that the surgery must be performed as soon as possible to save their son.

【If he doesn’t get surgery soon, he will die!】
The baby’s mother, Tin Mar Soe (24 years old), tearfully recounted her son’s condition to a social worker, her voice breaking repeatedly as she struggled to speak. Unable to communicate fluently in the local language, she relied on her limited knowledge of Mandarin and Malay to describe her son’s situation, often stammering and finding it difficult to express herself. Her anxiety, helplessness, and guilt as a mother were evident throughout.

Finally, she managed to choke out the words, “If he doesn’t get surgery soon, he will die!”—a reflection of her deep pain and fear. Together with her husband, she pleads with kind-hearted individuals to save their child.

The baby’s father, Lin Khaing Aung (26 years old), expressed his heavy-hearted concerns, saying, “If anything happens to our son, my wife will break down.” Although he struggles with the local language, he made every effort to explain the situation. He also shared how his wife cries every day out of worry for their son’s life.

【Their First Child】
Bhone Pyae Lyan Kyaw is the first child of this young couple, who moved to Malaysia three years ago and are recognized by the United Nations. Since learning about the pregnancy, Lin Khaing Aung has been working diligently to prepare for the arrival of their child. The baby’s birth brought love and hope to the small family.

However, their joy turned to anguish when the newborn was immediately taken to the NICU for emergency treatment. The couple’s excitement about holding their baby quickly vanished, replaced by sleepless nights worrying about his survival.

【Overwhelming Surgery Costs】
Lin Khaing Aung, a pet food salesman, earns very little, and his wife is a homemaker. They are unable to bear the immense cost of the surgery. In their helplessness, they turned to us for assistance.
