Description
A two-month-old baby boy is struggling with severe breathing difficulties. His heavy and laboured breaths signal a critical situation, leaving everyone heartbroken and anxious. We urgently appeal to kind-hearted individuals nationwide to donate RM10,000 to cover surgery and medical expenses to save this precious young life.
Case No. 1963: Do Lian Bawi, born prematurely at 31 weeks and 6 days, has been in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) since birth. He suffers from severe laryngomalacia, a condition that obstructs his airway. Due to the critical nature of his illness, the baby urgently needs surgery to ease his breathing difficulties.
【Saving a life is as urgent as extinguishing a fire】
When social workers visited the family, they were deeply concerned by the baby’s loud and laboured breathing. He currently requires supplemental oxygen. After consulting with doctors, it has been confirmed that immediate surgery is necessary to avoid life-threatening complications.
The baby’s mother, Nu Nu Thoi, 25 years old, is a homemaker, while his father, Pa Ceu, 40 years old, was formerly a kitchen worker. The family hails from Myanmar. Unfortunately, due to the mother’s kidney disease, which requires frequent dialysis, the father had to accompany her to the hospital regularly and subsequently lost his job, leaving the family with no income.
【A Struggling Mother Brings New Life into the World】
Do Lian Bawi is the couple’s first child. The mother faced extraordinary challenges during childbirth due to her weakened kidney function. Since birth, the baby has remained in critical condition in the NICU. The burden of mounting surgical and medical expenses has left the couple overwhelmed with despair, but they are determined to fight for their child’s survival. With nowhere else to turn, they reached out to us, hoping we could help save their son.
We have decided to assist by raising the necessary RM10,000 (RM3,000 for surgery and RM7,000 for medical expenses). We earnestly appeal to generous individuals across the nation to contribute to this cause so the baby can undergo the life-saving surgery.
