Breast Cancer Patient in Desperate Need of Help!
A woman with advanced breast cancer is suffering immensely. Her chest wound has ulcerated, and the cancer has spread to her lungs, causing severe breathing difficulties. She urgently needs an oxygen concentrator to survive each day safely. We appeal to kind-hearted individuals nationwide to help raise RM4,500 for this life-saving equipment!
Case No. 1959: Ms. (43 years old) has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Her condition has worsened to the point where her chest wound is ulcerated, leaving bloodstains on her bed. The torment of cancer has made it impossible for her to sleep lying down; she can only rest in a sitting position. Speaking has become an exhausting task, often leaving her breathless. Her pale face reflects her pain, sorrow, and helplessness.
Milly Wong and her husband, Mr. Lau Chin Chai (50 years old), do not have children of their own. Tragically, two years ago, Milly noticed abnormal bleeding from her nipple and sought medical attention. The diagnosis of breast cancer was a devastating blow to the couple.
Having lost his first wife to breast cancer after surgery, Mr. Lau was reluctant to let Milly undergo a mastectomy, fearing the same fate for his beloved wife.
In the past two years, Milly has undergone countless chemotherapy sessions. Unfortunately, the cancer has now metastasized to her lungs, making breathing extremely difficult. She urgently relies on an oxygen concentrator to assist her breathing.
【Severe Condition: Hospitalized for a Month】
When social workers visited Milly at home, they found her in a weak state. Her chest wound was severely ulcerated, her left arm swollen, and her bed stained with blood. She had just been discharged after a month in the hospital.
Deeply touched by the social workers’ visit, Milly broke into tears of gratitude when they encouraged her to stay strong. Witnessing her pain, the social workers offered continuous encouragement and support, though they were heartbroken by her suffering.
【Heartfelt Tears and Gratitude】
The social workers assured Milly that she was not alone, as compassionate individuals were always ready to lend a helping hand. We promised to help her quickly to secure the oxygen concentrator for her. Overwhelmed, Milly repeatedly clasped her hands together in gratitude, her tears filling the small bedroom with a sense of despair and hope.
【Husband’s Struggles as a Truck Driver】
Before her illness, Milly worked as a packer in a factory, while her husband, Mr. Lau, is a truck driver. With his modest income, he supports two children from his previous marriage and his ailing wife. Financial constraints have left him unable to afford the oxygen concentrator Milly desperately needs, prompting the couple to seek assistance from our organization.
We aim to raise RM4,500 to purchase a Philips EverFlo (5L) Oxygen Concentrator, which comes with a complete set of accessories, including a nasal cannula, a bubble humidifier, an E-sized oxygen tank, and an adjustable hand trolley.
We earnestly call on generous individuals to help Milly Wong regain a safe and manageable daily life. We hope you can help spread this appeal to reach more compassionate people. Thank you for your kindness and support!
