He urgently needs surgery to prevent his airway from narrowing, which could lead to severe breathing difficulties with unimaginable consequences. We humbly appeal to kind individuals nationwide to donate RM8,100 for the surgery and help save this little one from danger.
Case No. 1951: MUHAMMAD RIYAS is just a newborn baby. He suffers from subglottic stenosis, a condition where the airway below the vocal cords is narrowed. He is currently in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and cannot be discharged. He requires surgical intervention (EUA, DL, and balloon dilation) to prevent damage to his respiratory function.
Having entered this world just recently, MUHAMMAD RIYAS (Baby of Noor Asma) has yet to fully develop his vision. His round, sparkling eyes can only vaguely see his mother nearby and hear the familiar sound of her voice.
His mother, NOOR ASMA, gently calls his name every day. Both she and her husband treasure their firstborn child deeply. Unfortunately, this new life has faced significant challenges from the start, leaving his parents worried and heartbroken. Baby MUHAMMAD RIYAS must overcome this critical stage to grow up healthy.
[The Father is a Grass Cutter]
The baby’s father, MOHAMMAD ILIAS MOHAMMAD YOUNUS (29 years old), is a grass cutter, and his mother, NOOR ASMA (21 years old), is a homemaker. This young couple fled to Malaysia to escape civil war in their home country and work hard to make a living. While they were overjoyed to welcome their first child, they never imagined facing hospitalization and the urgent need for surgery immediately after his birth.
The father shared with a social worker that he had already borrowed money from friends to pay for the baby’s hospital expenses. However, constant trips to the hospital caused him to frequently miss work, leading to his dismissal. With no income, the couple is struggling to make ends meet.

Facing the overwhelming cost of the surgery, the devastated parents have turned to us in their despair, hoping for assistance to raise funds for their baby’s operation.
