Description

Case No. 1944: Child, love was too brief! A baby boy who had not yet reached his first month tragically passed away in his sleep, leaving his parents in deep sorrow. Lacking the financial means to cover the sudden funeral expenses, the family earnestly appeals to kind-hearted individuals nationwide for donations to provide a proper farewell and allow the baby to rest in peace.
The poor baby boy, who was less than a month old, departed this world before he could truly see its beauty. His parents, unable to give him the love they had envisioned, could only give him the name they had just chosen Sum Zee Yu and bid him farewell.
The baby’s father, Sum Kah Chun, tearfully recounted to a social worker how his son was born healthy and without complications. However, on the morning of December 8, his wife, Wong Yin Wai, woke up to care for the baby only to discover that he was no longer breathing. The scene left her utterly devastated.
The young parents, who were overjoyed at the arrival of their baby, were suddenly plunged into grief upon his unexpected passing, especially after just naming him. Their sorrow knows no bounds.
According to the death report, baby Sum Zee Yu passed away due to respiratory failure at 10:02 a.m. on December 8 (Sunday).
The baby’s father, Sum Kah Chun, works as a furniture factory employee with a modest income. His elderly mother recently suffered a stroke, incurring significant medical expenses. The baby’s mother, Wong Yin Wai, is a housewife. In their moment of grief and helplessness, the young parents found themselves unable to afford the funeral costs and sought assistance from compassionate individuals.
Da Ai will take full responsibility for the funeral arrangements. We are handling the whole funeral process for the deceased, which includes body transfer, prayer ceremony, and cremation. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate to the funeral so he can rest in peace soon.
If anyone is interested in donating for the entire funeral, please contact any of Da Ai’s social workers for more information. Thank you.
The prayer ceremony will be held at Kwong Tong Funeral Parlor (Hall K) in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, followed by cremation on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. The ashes will be placed by his parents.
