Description

Case No. 1941: Appeal for nationwide compassionate donations to fund funeral arrangements for an elderly man, Chin Keng Leong, allowing him to complete his final journey with dignity.
Chin Keng Leong, a 60-year-old elderly man, lived a sorrowful life without family, home, or support. He was once found unconscious on the street and taken to the hospital by a kind-hearted individual. After his recovery, the hospital arranged for him to stay in a non-profit nursing home due to his lack of family. There, he found temporary shelter. However, his solace was short-lived, as he tragically passed away at the care home, quietly bringing his life to an end.
On the morning of November 26, Chin Keng Leong passed away at a nursing home in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. He had previously worked as a salesman but faced declining health as he aged. He suffered from spinal paralysis (degenerative spine disease) and a second-degree sacral injury, which caused significant mobility challenges and left him dependent on a urinary catheter. With no one to care for him, his worsening condition led to him collapsing on the street, after which he was taken to the hospital and later transferred to the nursing home.
According to the death report, Mr. Chin passed away at 7:40 a.m. on November 26 due to severe spinal injuries. Upon learning of his passing, we decided to take full responsibility for his funeral arrangements. We are handling the whole funeral process for the deceased, which includes body transfer, prayer ceremony, and cremation. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate to the funeral so he can rest in peace soon.
If anyone is interested in donating for the entire funeral, please contact any of Da Ai’s social workers for more information. Thank you.
The prayer ceremony will be held at Kwong Tong Funeral Parlor (Hall N) in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, followed by cremation on Thursday, November 28, 2024. The ashes will be scattered into the sea.
