Description

A Merciless Severe Influenza Has Left a Cheerful 9-Year-Old Girl Unable to Walk!

Once a lively and outgoing child, this 9-year-old girl now lies in bed, unable to care for herself, her expression vacant and forlorn. She urgently needs public’s help!

We are appealing to compassionate individuals nationwide to donate RM6,420 to help her purchase critical medical equipment. Along with her parents, we hold onto hope that she can endure these difficult times. With dedicated care, we believe her condition can gradually improve.

Case No. 1940: Nine-year-old Tisa Danifatul Hikmah has been diagnosed with severe influenza complicated by multi-organ dysfunction, which has affected her central nervous system and triggered meningitis. She is now semi-conscious, with weakness in both arms and legs.

Tisa first showed symptoms on October 18 when she developed a sudden fever and cold. Despite medication from her parents, her condition did not improve. Late at night, she suddenly became limp and unresponsive. Alarmed, her parents rushed her to the hospital. Living in a walk-up apartment without an elevator, they had to seek help from neighbors to carry her down.

Doctors confirmed her diagnosis of severe influenza with complications after a thorough examination.

A Formerly Joyful Little Girl

During a home visit by social workers, it was evident that Tisa was once an active and happy child who loved playing with her younger brother. However, this illness has completely changed her demeanor. Her brother struggles to understand the change, while her parents are deeply worried and heartbroken. At only 9 years old, she still has her whole life ahead of her.

Tisa is the eldest in her family, with a 6-year-old brother, Muhammad Rafi Immammulah. Tragically, their biological father passed away a few years ago due to illness, leaving their mother, Siti Khaliatun Immammulah (46 years old), to care for them alone. She works as a part-time cleaner to earn a modest income. With the arrival of her current husband, Mat Rizam bin Dollah (46 years old), the family gained some additional support. The two children have grown close to him and lovingly call him “Papa.”

Hoping to Hear “Papa” and “Mama” Again!

Mat Rizam couldn’t hide his sorrow as he described Tisa’s condition to the social worker. Despite the challenges, he and his wife remain hopeful that, with proper care, she will gradually recover. They are willing to wait, no matter how long it takes.

Tisa’s parents have observed small signs of hope. When her brother shakes her hand, she responds with a smile. Though she is bedridden, Tisa occasionally moves her arms and legs on her own and makes sounds. These small reactions keep the family optimistic, believing that she can recover and call out “Papa” and “Mama” again.

Tisa urgently needs medical equipment to ensure her mother can care for her properly. However, as both parents are part-time workers with limited income, they cannot afford the necessary items. In their desperation, they have entrusted our organization to launch a crowdfunding campaign to raise RM6,420 for the following medical equipment:

  1. Reclining DAF wheelchair (18-inch, adjustable seating system for indoor and outdoor ambulation use):RM720
  2. Hospital bed:RM2,950
  3. Ripple mattress (to prevent pressure injuries):RM250
  4. Feeding pump and milk bags:RM2,500

Total: RM6,420

We sincerely appeal to the generosity of kind-hearted individuals to donate and help Tisa acquire the equipment she urgently needs. We also hope everyone can share this message widely so that more people can contribute to her recovery. Your kindness can help Tisa access the care she deserves and bring hope to her family.
