A 3-month-old baby girl is experiencing severe breathing difficulties and urgently requires respiratory surgery!
We sincerely appeal to kind-hearted individuals nationwide to donate RM2,010 to help Shafira Azzahra purchase two essential medical devices required for her surgery.
Case No. 1936: Shafira was born with subglottic stenosis, causing her to have trouble breathing. She urgently needs respiratory dilation surgery to prevent her condition from worsening. To facilitate the procedure, she requires a dilation balloon catheter and a suction machine. However, due to her family’s financial constraints, they are unable to afford the necessary equipment. Her parents are feeling helpless, distressed, and deeply anxious.
[A Preterm Baby Girl] Shafira was born prematurely at 25 weeks and has been in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) since birth, receiving emergency care and relying on a ventilator 24/7. At birth, her frail condition prevented surgery, but now that she has gained some weight, her respiratory surgery becomes urgently necessary. [The Only Child Yet to Return Home] Shafira’s four older siblings are healthy, but she has been unable to reunite with her family since birth and has remained in the hospital. Her parents’ greatest hope, shared by her siblings, is for Shafira to recover and come home soon.Shafira’s mother, Kuretulaini Binti Abd Azis (28 years old), is a housewife caring for five children, with Shafira being the youngest. Their eldest child is only 11 years old.
She must juggle taking care of her children while frequently visiting the hospital to care for Shafira, making it impossible for her to work.
Shafira’s father, Azmi Bin Misadi (29 years old), works as a motorcycle mechanic, earning a meagre income that barely supports their family of seven. They are financially incapable of covering the cost of Shafira’s medical equipment. In utter desperation, they sought help from us for assistance.
