Description

Urgent call for help! Baby Ding Jun En, just one month old, has been diagnosed with Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA) and urgently needs life-saving surgery.

Case No. 1929: Baby Ding Jun En requires RM 50,000 to undergo Pulmonary Artery Banding surgery. Due to an excess of blood flowing into his lungs, his life is at serious risk. The operation cannot be delayed. However, with the critical nature of his condition and a daunting surgery cost beyond reach, his parents are overwhelmed, helpless, anxious, and deeply saddened. They urgently need everyone’s support.

Medical reports indicate that Ding Jun En has Corrected TGA (Transposition of the Great Arteries), where the heart’s two main chambers are transposed, causing an abnormal blood supply and excess blood flow into the lungs. After the Pulmonary Artery Banding surgery, his lungs will be protected, allowing him to undergo further corrective heart surgery as he grows older.

[The Baby Must Not Cry]

Baby’s mother, Ling Chai Suet (27 years old), told social workers that her son Jun En has difficulty drinking milk and cannot risk choking, as one incident left his face turning purple, terrifying his parents. Due to his heart and lung condition, doctors have advised that he should not cry excessively, as it could lead to breathing difficulties. To soothe him quickly when he cries, the parents must give him a pacifier to calm him down.

Ling Chai Suet, originally an administrative secretary, had to give up her job to care for her sick child full-time, resulting in a loss of income.

[Tears of a Mother]

Her husband, Ding Ying Jian (29), an automotive technician, shared the child’s condition with social workers. As he spoke, Chai Suet couldn’t hold back her tears, deeply pained for her child, which also left her husband heartbroken as he wiped away her tears in silence.

Though a man seldom sheds tears, seeing his child’s suffering broke him. When the doctor delivered the diagnosis, he couldn’t control his grief and cried in the doctor’s presence.

Jun En is the couple’s first child, a symbol of their love. They were overjoyed to welcome him, only to discover that he suffers from a severe illness. The doctor has warned that without surgery, there’s a high risk of heart failure, which could endanger his life. The situation has left his parents immensely worried.

They are a modest family who only wish for their child to live a peaceful life, never imagining that such a rare disease would afflict their firstborn. Though deeply painful, they face this hardship with resilience.

Their greatest wish is to see their beloved child recover and grow healthily, like any other baby.

Ding Ying Jian is a responsible and loving father, but his savings were depleted when his own father needed medical treatment. Now, with no resources to cover their baby’s significant surgery cost, the couple has turned to us at Da Ai for crowdfunding assistance, urgently appealing for a donation of RM 50,000 for the Pulmonary Artery Banding surgery.

To everyone who views this message, we also kindly ask you to share it. Let’s help reach the crowdfunding goal soon, so this baby can receive his surgery and be on the path to recovery. Thank you!

[Update] Case No. 1929: No choice but to seek help again! A baby boy, Ding Jun En, just over a month old, has undergone a successful surgery but remains in unstable condition and cannot be discharged. We sincerely appeal to kind-hearted individuals nationwide to continue lending a helping hand by donating RM50,000 for his medical expenses to save this poor child.

Due to excessive blood flow from his heart to his lungs, which posed a life-threatening risk, Jun En successfully underwent a pulmonary artery banding procedure. However, he is now struggling with an overproduction of phlegm, significantly affecting his lungs. To ensure the baby’s condition is well-controlled, doctors have advised that he must stay in the ICU for detailed treatment and monitoring. Only after his condition improves can he be transferred to a regular ward.

When the baby can be discharged depends on how well his body responds to the treatment. Unfortunately, the medical costs have exceeded the amount raised in the previous crowdfunding effort. With no other options, Jun En’s parents are once again pleading with kind-hearted individuals to save their son. They are deeply grateful for any assistance provided.

In a previous effort on November 10, Da Ai initiated a campaign to raise RM50,000 for Jun En’s surgery. The target was met within a month, reflecting the immense care and generosity of compassionate individuals from all corners of the nation. We are truly moved and deeply grateful for your contributions.

However, despite the surgery’s success, unforeseen circumstances have prevented the unfortunate baby from being discharged. In their immense sorrow, helplessness, and despair, Jun En’s parents, Ding Ying Jian and Ling Chai Suet, have no choice but to make another heartfelt appeal to the public for help.

Upon learning of Jun En’s plight, we have decided to relaunch the crowdfunding campaign. We sincerely hope everyone can assist once more by sharing this appeal widely, so more people are aware of the baby’s critical situation. Your continued support is crucial to achieving the fundraising goal, allowing the baby to receive the necessary treatment and recover as soon as possible. Thank you.
