Description
Case No. 1923: An elderly man, Wong Chun Foo, passed away after suffering a sudden vascular blockage while riding his motorcycle. He collapsed and passed away on a remote road before he could make it home. We kindly appeal to generous individuals nationwide to donate towards his funeral expenses, allowing this lonely, childless man to rest in peace soon.
Mr. Wong Chun Foo, aged 69, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, along the Gombak-Bentong Road, about 40 kilometres from his home. According to his niece, Wong Lai Yee, her uncle lived in a housing unit in Kuala Lumpur and would usually shop around the Pudu area. She is unsure why he had gone so far to the old Bentong road near Bukit Tinggi—perhaps he got lost—when he suffered a fatal heart attack due to sudden coronary artery blockage.
According to the death report, Mr. Wong passed away at 5 p.m. on October 22 due to acute coronary syndrome.
In his younger years, he worked as a construction labourer, but health issues in recent years required him to undergo long-term dialysis, leaving him unable to work. Many of his siblings are elderly, and some have already passed away. He is survived by one elder sister and one elder brother.
His niece, Wong Lai Yee, is a teacher and the only person able to handle her uncle’s affairs. However, she also has her own family and children to care for, leaving her unable to organize his funeral at this time. Feeling helpless, Wong Lai Yee entrusted the Da Ai to handle her uncle’s funeral arrangements, hoping he can rest in peace and complete his final journey with dignity.
Da Ai will take full responsibility for the funeral arrangements. We are handling the whole funeral process for the deceased, which includes body transfer, prayer ceremony, and cremation. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate to the funeral so he can rest in peace soon.
If anyone is interested in donating for the entire funeral, please contact any of Da Ai’s social workers for more information. Thank you.
The prayer ceremony will be held at Kwong Tong Funeral Parlor (Hall G) in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, October 24, 2024, followed by cremation on Friday, October 25, 2024. The ashes will be placed by his family.
