Description
Case No. 1918: A tragic event has struck 15-year-old Lim Chee Yao, who succumbed to leukaemia and passed away. His mother’s grief was overwhelming when she saw her son covered with a white cloth in the hospital. She is pleading for kind-hearted individuals nationwide to donate for funeral arrangements so that this poor child may rest in peace.
Lim Chee Yao sadly passed away on Sunday morning, 13th October 2024, in the hospital. At around 8 a.m., a social worker received a call from Lim Chee Yao’s mother, Lim Pei Ching. With a trembling voice, she informed them that her child had already passed away. The social worker deeply felt the mother’s helplessness and sorrow at that moment, and the news left the social worker heartbroken as well.
Lim Chee Yao was suffering from recurrent Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (Pre-B ALL). His condition required careful monitoring and management, but his body gradually deteriorated, needing constant care and regular hospital check-ups.
Not long ago, Lim Pei Ching had sought assistance from Da Ai, which had already arranged a medical fundraising event for him. Unfortunately, fate intervened, and the cruel illness took Lim Chee Yao from this world at such a young age.
His father, Lim Long Hin (48 years old), had quit his job to provide full-time care for his son. His mother, Lim Pei Ching (38 years old), works for a manufacturing company with a modest income. Lim Chee Yao also has a 14-year-old brother. The family of four relies solely on the mother’s meagre salary, and they are unable to afford the funeral expenses for their beloved son. The mother has entrusted Da Ai with handling the funeral arrangements, hoping that her son can find peace and no longer suffer from the pain of illness.
According to the death report, Lim Chee Yao passed away on October 13th at 8:14 a.m. due to stage 4 leukaemia.
Da Ai will take full responsibility for the funeral arrangements. We are handling the whole funeral process for the deceased, which includes body transfer, prayer ceremony, cremation, and ash placement. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate to the funeral so he can rest in peace soon.
If anyone is interested in donating for the entire funeral, please contact any of Da Ai’s social workers for more information. Thank you.
The prayer ceremony will be held at Kwong Tong Funeral Parlor (Hall Q) in Kuala Lumpur on Monday, October 14, 2024, followed by cremation on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. The ashes will be placed at Kwong Tong Cemetery Tower KA37-5F-17.
