Description
Case No. 1902: A baby boy, just 36 weeks old, was unable to see the beauty of this world and tragically passed away in the womb. The grieving parents are unable to afford the funeral expenses and are pleading for donations from kind-hearted individuals nationwide to help cover the cost, so that the baby can rest in peace soon.
Tha Bie, the 31-year-old father, held onto the baby’s body in the hospital mortuary, overwhelmed with grief. When the Da Ai arrived at the hospital to collect the body, the father still couldn’t bear to part with his child. He carefully wrapped the baby in a white cloth and gave him a final kiss goodbye. The sorrow and reluctance in the father’s eyes were truly heartbreaking.
The baby boy was the first child of Tha Bie and his wife, Lal Than Mawi (33 years old). He was just days away from entering this beautiful world. Unfortunately, the mother suddenly experienced severe abdominal pain, and upon being rushed to the hospital, the baby was found to have stopped breathing inside the womb. The mother was devastated, and the father, unable to bear the loss, entrusted Da Ai to handle the baby’s funeral.
According to the death report, the unnamed baby boy passed away in the womb at 9:59 a.m. on September 13. The cause of death was Severe Meconium Aspiration Syndrome.
The baby’s parents are foreigners who left their impoverished hometown several years ago and came to distant Kuala Lumpur in search of a better life. Despite the hardships they faced, they eagerly awaited the arrival of their baby, believing that the challenges would be worth it. Tragically, their joy turned to sorrow when the baby suddenly passed away, leaving the devastated parents struggling to come to terms with this heartbreaking reality.
The baby’s father is a chef, and the mother is a homemaker. Neither of them has the means to cover the unexpected funeral costs. At their request, Da Ai will take full responsibility for the funeral arrangements. We are handling the whole funeral process for the deceased, which includes body transfer, Christian memorial service, and cremation. The ashes will be scattered at sea to allow the baby to rest peacefully in the Lord’s embrace.
If anyone is interested in donating for the entire funeral, please contact any of Da Ai’s social workers for more information. Thank you.
The Christian memorial service will be held at Gui Yuan Funeral Crematorium (Hall 1) in Petaling Jaya on Monday, September 16, 2024, followed by cremation on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. The ashes will be scattered at sea to allow the baby to rest peacefully.
