Urgent Appeal! A little boy, just over two years old, is tragically suffering from cerebral palsy along with other illnesses. He urgently needs care and assistance. We sincerely request a donation of RM6,330 to purchase a suction machine and special milk formula to sustain his life.
Due to his six different conditions, he experiences severe discomfort, whether lying down or sitting. With a tube inserted, he frequently tosses and turns, making small, distressing sounds, which is heartbreaking to witness.
Case No. 1900: Cheah Kien Hong has been different from other children since birth and has been hospitalized for four months. His condition is unstable, and he has not been able to return home. The child’s father, a fisherman, cannot afford his son’s medical expenses. Despite his heartbreak, he earnestly appeals to kind-hearted people across the nation for help.
Doctors have diagnosed Cheah Kien Hong with the following six conditions:
1. Dysmorphic child with central hypotonia and global developmental delay
2. Spastic dystonic cerebral palsy
3. Hypothyroidism
4. Failure to thrive
5. Gastroesophageal reflux disease
6. Bilateral congenital talipes equinovarus
His mother, Lee Bee Kun, shared that Kien Hong was admitted to the hospital after a persistent fever, where they discovered he had a neurological disease. He also suffers from diarrhoea and constant coughing. When social workers visited the hospital, they found that the little boy’s body was uncontrollably twitching, and he needed an oxygen machine to breathe. Due to his central hypotonia and developmental delay, he also requires a suction machine.
The mother, Lee Bee Kun, is a housewife, and the father, Cheah Chung Keaw, is a fisherman with a modest income. As the family’s sole breadwinner, he also needs to care for his two elderly parents. The family of five lives in extreme poverty, and now they are faced with their son’s health issues, leaving them helpless and unable to afford the necessary equipment.
Thus, the mother, Lee Bee Kun, sought assistance from Da Ai, and we will raise funds for the required suction machine and six months’ worth of special milk formula for the boy, Cheah Kien Hong. The breakdown is as follows:
Suction Machine: RM750
Special Milk Formula (ASCENDA): RM155 x 36 cans (6 months) = RM5,580
Total: RM6,330
