Description

A 2-month-old premature baby girl urgently requires heart surgery to save her life. We earnestly appeal to kind-hearted individuals nationwide to contribute RM40,000 for her heart surgery to help save this precious little life.

Case No. 1893: Baby of Pan Chit, born prematurely at 35 weeks, was immediately admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) after birth. Despite being intubated for 36 hours, she still needs a ventilator to sustain her life. On the 16th day after her birth, she was diagnosed with Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA), leading to heart failure and an uncontrollable heartbeat. She requires two anti-heart failure medications and urgently needs heart surgery—specifically a PDA ligation surgery—to survive.

The baby girl, temporarily referred to as “Baby of Pan Chit” according to medical records, is the first child of Pan Chit (26 years old) and her husband, Zaw Myo Oo (30 years old). Welcoming a new life is usually a joyful event, as it symbolizes the love between the couple. However, the unfortunate circumstance of their baby being born with a congenital heart disease has left them heartbroken, helpless, and in despair.

Pan Chit had to undergo an emergency C-section at 35 weeks of pregnancy due to critical health conditions. Thankfully, the baby was delivered in time, surviving her first challenge of life. However, due to breathing difficulties, she relies on a ventilator for oxygen support. With small tubes inserted in her nose and mouth, the baby has been fighting hard to breathe while lying in the hospital bed. Seeing her baby struggle for life tears Pan Chit’s heart apart. She stays quietly by her baby’s side, offering blessings, prayers, and encouragement, hoping that her baby can feel her love and determination and will be strong enough to overcome the most difficult moment of her life. Pan Chit wishes nothing more than to bring her baby home and reunite as a family. The bond between mother and daughter is a rare and precious one, and Pan Chit cherishes it deeply—she cannot bear to lose her child!

What lies ahead for Baby of Pan Chit is an urgent need to undergo PDA ligation surgery. However, her father, Zaw Myo Oo, a fisherman, has a very modest income, barely enough to make ends meet. He must work every day, as stopping work would mean no income.

Pan Chit, a housewife with no income, and her husband have already exhausted their savings on the delivery and their baby’s treatment. Now, they are unable to afford the heart surgery costs. Feeling utterly desperate and helpless, they turn to Da Ai for help to raise RM40,000 for their daughter’s surgery.

We have decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign to save this precious little life and sincerely urge kind-hearted people nationwide to step forward and help. Kindly share this plea so the crowdfunding goal can be met as soon as possible. Thank you.
