Description
To prevent severe diarrhoea, dehydration, and malnutrition in a one-year-old baby girl from worsening her condition, she urgently needs to purchase a feeding pump and special formula milk for a year to treat short bowel syndrome. Due to the family’s financial difficulties, they are unable to afford these items. We sincerely request kind-hearted individuals nationwide to donate RM15,460 so the baby can be discharged and return home soon.
Case No. 1888: Baby girl WAN NUR AFEEYA ALYSSA BINTI WAN NUR BUKHARI was sent from her hometown in Pahang to a government hospital in Kuala Lumpur for treatment of Type 4 Jejunal Atresia with Short Bowel Syndrome right after birth. She has been hospitalized for a year and has not been able to return home.
Since the baby needs to stay in the hospital for treatment, her mother, NOR HAFIZA BINTI ALI, has been by her side the entire time. The baby is very cute, with big eyes and a sweet smile. When she saw our DA AI social workers, she was not afraid of strangers and interacted with us, making her very lovable.
Mother HAFIZA is extremely worried about her child’s safety and misses her family back home. When she shared her situation with us at DA AI, she spoke with tears streaming down her face. Currently, her greatest wish is for the baby to recover soon and be able to reunite with the family.
Doctors have informed HAFIZA that baby AFFEYA has a shorter intestine, which makes her absorption weaker than other children. Due to the lack of proper food absorption and digestion difficulties, she requires careful attention. To take care of the baby, HAFIZA resigned from her job and has been at the hospital all the time for a year. Now, the baby must use a feeding pump to consume special formula milk.
AFFEEYA is the first child of HAFIZA and her husband, WAN NUR BUKHARI BIN WAN AMRAN. The couple is very saddened and worried about their baby’s short bowel syndrome. The baby’s father can only visit Kuala Lumpur from their hometown in Pahang every two weeks.
WAN NUR BUKHARI is an ordinary civil servant, and the family’s livelihood depends on his modest income. He cannot afford the expensive formula milk, feeding pump, and milk bags needed for the baby, and in their helplessness, they sought assistance from DA AI. DA AI will raise funds for baby AFFEEYA with the following details:
One year of special formula milk NEOCATE LCP INFANT FORMULA 400G
RM120 x 9 cans = RM1,080 (one month)
12 months x RM1,080 = RM12,960
Feeding pump + milk bags = RM2,500
Total crowdfunding amount: RM15,460
We sincerely request kind-hearted individuals nationwide to help the poor baby girl overcome this difficulty. We also hope everyone can help share this message to achieve the crowdfunding goal as soon as possible. Thank you.
