Description
Premature baby boy needs portable oxygen tank to breathe! We urgently appeal to the kind-hearted individuals across the nation to donate RM1410 to purchase a portable oxygen tank for a premature baby boy. This will facilitate his hospital visits for follow-up treatments.
Case No. 1887: Yaashvin A/L Mahalingam, currently only 6 months old, was born prematurely at 33 weeks. Due to congenital deficiencies, he suffers from multiple illnesses and is in dire need of help. Since June 7 this year, Yaashvin has been receiving home oxygen therapy. However, his parents frequently need to take him to the hospital for follow-up visits, and the oxygen tank must be carried with them without interruption.
As Yaashvin requires ongoing treatment and check-ups, his parents currently struggle with a heavy oxygen tank during hospital visits. The doctor has recommended purchasing a travel-size (portable) oxygen tank to ease the burden on the family. Yaashvin is expected to need at least one year of home oxygen therapy and regular check-ups by the paediatric team at the hospital.
The medical report stated that Yaashvin’s diagnoses include:
- Chronic Lung Disease with an underlying history of moderate bronchopulmonary dysplasia.
- Gastro-esophageal reflux requiring nasogastric tube feeding and treatment.
- Low-ending conus medullaris with tethered spinal cord.
- Hypospadias with left inguinal hernia.
- Reducible umbilical hernia.
- Left kidney hydronephrosis.
Yaashvin’s father, Mahalingam (39 years old), is a warehouse manager with a modest income. His mother, Hamuta (38 years old), stays at home to care for their sick child. Yaashvin is their first child, and his parents are heartbroken to see him suffer. Their greatest wish is for their child to be free from pain and grow up healthy.
Unable to afford the much-needed portable oxygen tank, Yaashvin’s parents have turned to Da Ai for help. We have decided to raise RM1410 to purchase the required oxygen tank and earnestly request the support of compassionate individuals nationwide. We also hope everyone can help spread this message so that more kind-hearted people can assist Yaashvin in overcoming this difficult time. Thank you.
