Case No. 1885: Nurul Aminah Mohamad Amin was born prematurely and suffers from chronic lung disease with distal tracheal stenosis and esophageal dysmotility. She also had esophageal atresia with a tracheoesophageal fistula, which has been repaired. However, her esophageal dysmotility remains untreated, affecting her ability to eat and causing severe weight loss. Doctors advise that she must consume high-quality formula milk to gain weight, as ordinary formula milk must be discontinued.
Nurul Aminah comes from a single-parent family. Her 20-year-old single mother, Adaha Osman, works as a promoter with a meager income. She struggles to support two children on her own and cannot afford the expensive formula milk.
Nurul Aminah was born extremely premature at 32 weeks, alongside her twin sister, Nurul Amirah. While Amirah is healthy, Aminah is not as fortunate and has many health issues that, if not addressed promptly, could lead to severe consequences. The immediate priority is to help her gain weight and improve her health to prevent further deterioration.
When social workers visited, they were shocked to see Aminah’s frail body and couldn’t believe she was a twin. The sisters are vastly different; Amirah is taller and healthier, while Aminah is smaller and weaker due to malnutrition. Amirah is lively, but Aminah is weak and fatigued.
Single mother Adaha Osman wishes for Aminah to grow up happily, just like her sister, but her limited income makes it impossible to afford the necessary formula milk, causing her to shed tears. Upon learning of the situation, Da Ai decided to extend a helping hand to raise funds for Aminah’s high-quality formula milk:
