Description
Case No. 1830: Eighty-one-year-old single elderly lady, Ms. Lee Kheng Poh, had a desolate life. After passing away in a nursing home with no one to take care of her affairs, we earnestly implore kind-hearted individuals nationwide to generously donate and assist with her funeral arrangements.
Ms. Lee Kheng Poh had no family to care for her. Recently, she showed signs of a stroke and was admitted to the hospital for treatment. Afterward, the hospital transferred her to a non-profit nursing home for care. Unfortunately, due to her advanced age and frail health, she passed away. We humbly request everyone to donate to her funeral so she can rest in peace soon.
Recalling her time at the nursing home, caregivers noted that Ms. Lee Kheng Poh was usually reserved and didn’t interact much with other residents. However, her demeanor was calm and gentle, often sitting quietly with a smile while others chatted. On the evening of April 6th, when caregivers went to call her for dinner, they found her lying motionless in bed. Despite attempts to wake her, there was no response. The nursing home director immediately called for assistance, but by the time the medical staff arrived, Ms. Lee had passed away.
According to the death report, Ms. Lee Kheng Poh passed away at 5:15 p.m. on April 6th due to geriatric disease.
Our social workers learned that Ms. Lee Kheng Poh, in her earlier years, faced mobility issues due to health problems, which rendered her unable to continue working. Consequently, she applied to enter a paid nursing home for medical care, leading to the depletion of her lifelong savings. Subsequently, she suffered a stroke and was admitted to the hospital nearby for treatment. Upon discharge, she was transferred to a non-profit nursing home for continued care.
The poor elderly lady’s health was gradually declining, and unfortunately, she passed away in the nursing home. With no relatives to handle her affairs, Da Ai will take full responsibility for the funeral arrangements. We are handling the whole funeral process for Ms. Lee Kheng Poh, which includes body transfer, prayer ceremony, cremation, and scattering the ashes into the sea. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate to the funeral so she can rest in peace soon.
If anyone is interested in donating for the whole funeral, kindly contact any social workers at Da Ai for more information. Thank you.
