Description

A single-parent family faces a crisis and is urgently seeking help! A single mother, Corny Wong Yang Shiak, due to a cerebral hemorrhage, remains in the hospital after four surgeries. With three underage children suddenly left without support, we hope that kind-hearted people nationwide can donate RM60,000 for medical expenses and the children’s living expenses to help this family of four through this difficult time.

Case No. 1823: 44-year-old Corny Wong Yang Shiak collapsed in a shopping mall restroom. Though she showed some response after being rushed to the hospital, she remains partially conscious and, due to a lung infection, must continue to stay hospitalized. Both medical expenses and the children’s living expenses are uncertain. The children are deeply worried about their mother’s safety, and the unprecedented pain engulfs the entire family, appealing for kind-hearted individuals to lend a helping hand!

The single mother, Corny Wong Yang Shiak, is a saleswoman with a meagre income. To support her three underage children, she takes on multiple part-time jobs. Neither the pressures of work nor the hardships of life defeated her. Unfortunately, last month, while out shopping with her children, she suddenly felt dizzy, struggled to breathe, and collapsed in the restroom.

Her eldest daughter, Amisha Wong, aged 17, recalls initially hearing responses from her mother when she called out in the restroom, but after five minutes, there was no response. Feeling panicked, the daughter broke into the restroom and found her mother unconscious. She quickly sought help from the mall staff and called an ambulance to rush her mother to the hospital.

According to information from Corny Wong Yang Shiak’s aunt, Perli Wong, Corny underwent four surgeries to remove all the blood clots. During emergency treatment, due to excessive clotting, doctors had to open her skull to remove all the clots; failure to do so would have posed a risk to her life, even leading to death. Currently, Corny Wong Yang Shiak must remain hospitalized for treatment. Medical reports indicate severe cerebral hemorrhage and lung infection.

Corny Wong Yang Shiak has to raise three children: her eldest daughter, Amisha Wong (17 years old), her second son, Darwin Wong (15 years old), and her youngest son, Belwin Wong (6 years old), who are still in school. After their mother’s hospitalization, the children are being cared for with the assistance of Aunt Perli.

Despite living in a broken family, the eldest daughter, Amisha Wong, never feels emotionally deprived because she has a loving mother. She usually helps take care of her younger brothers and does household chores. Seeing her mother’s current condition, Amisha Wong couldn’t help but tearfully recount the bond between mother and daughter and the little details of life to the social worker. She currently wishes most for her mother to recover quickly, to accompany her, listen to her concerns, and witness her achievements. Amisha Wong cannot bear her mother’s absence and secretly cries every day at the thought of her. As long as her mother returns, life, though difficult, will always be happy when the family is reunited.

Aunt Perli also tells the social worker how deeply she pities her niece, Corny Wong Yang Shiak, and how she hopes she recovers quickly. She fears she might not withstand the pressure and may collapse herself. Perli is also a single mother, currently without a job and living modestly. Faced with the hefty medical bills and the children’s living expenses, she feels powerless.

Aunt Perli approached Da Ai and entrusted us to assist in fundraising. Da Ai will crowdfund a total of RM60,000 for single mother Corny Wong Yang Shiak’s medical expenses and the children’s living expenses, earnestly seeking help from kind-hearted people nationwide. We also hope that everyone watching this video can help by sharing this plea for assistance, hoping to receive more urgent help from kind-hearted individuals to help this unfortunate single-parent family successfully overcome this difficult time. Thank you.
