Description
Case No. 1822: Appeal for generous contributions towards funeral arrangements for the late Mr. Lee Kuan Kee, so that he can rest in peace after succumbing to severe pneumonia in the hospital.
Mr. Lee Kuan Kee’s siblings have already passed away, leaving behind only an 80-year-old sister. Due to the family’s financial constraints in managing the funeral arrangements, we hope that everyone can donate to his funeral, enabling the departed to complete his final journey in peace.
The deceased’s single nephew, Lee Sze Yen, informed the social worker of Da Ai of his uncle’s situation. He had arranged for his uncle to reside in a nursing home many years ago. Just four days ago, the nursing home notified him that his uncle’s condition had worsened, rendering him unable to eat or move easily. Consequently, he promptly admitted his uncle to the hospital. Regrettably, despite several days of treatment, the hospital notified him this morning of his uncle’s passing, leaving the nephew deeply saddened.
According to the death report, Mr. Lee Kuan Kee passed away at 8:31 a.m. on March 26th due to severe pneumonia.
Lee Sze Yen mentioned that his elderly uncle, Mr. Lee Kuan Kee, had been retired for a long time. Both his brothers and sisters have passed away, leaving only one elderly 80-year-old sister who is also frail. As his nephew, Lee Sze Yen often visited his uncle at the nursing home.
Lee Sze Yen works as a ride-hailing driver, earning a modest income. Due to his inability to afford the sudden funeral expenses for his uncle, he had to seek assistance from Da Ai to handle the funeral arrangements.
We are handling the whole funeral process for Mr. Lee Kuan Kee, which includes body transfer, prayer ceremony, and cremation. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate to the funeral so he can rest in peace soon.
If anyone is interested in donating for the whole funeral, kindly contact any social workers at Da Ai for more information. Thank you.
Mr. Lee Kuan Kee’s prayer ceremony will be held at Kwong Tong Funeral Parlour (Hall G) in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, followed by cremation on Thursday, March 28, 2024. The ashes will be handed over to the family for further arrangements.
