Description

Case No. 1769: A late single father, Wong Wah Hing, who, due to accumulated stress and complications from diabetes and hypertension, tragically passed away. We earnestly request kind-hearted individuals to donate and assist with the funeral arrangements so he can rest in peace soon.
Wong Wah Hing, a hardworking father at the age of 67, lost his sight in his later years. Recently, he suddenly experienced drastic weight loss and reduced food intake. His daughter took him to the hospital for an examination, where the doctors revealed that his gastrointestinal blood vessels had ruptured, leaving him paralyzed and unable to care for himself. Due to being in a stroke state, surgery was not performed.
Wong Lei Mung, his daughter, informed us that, just a week ago, she reluctantly sent her father to a nursing home in the hope of providing better care, as she had to work and couldn’t personally attend to him. Unexpectedly, her father couldn’t endure the illness and passed away at the nursing home, leaving his family devastated upon hearing the tragic news.
Wong Lei Mung recalled that her father, Wong Wah Hing, lost his sight four years ago (2019). He was a chef, and the intense work pressure, coupled with a lack of sleep, seriously affected his health and led to blindness. Thinking of her father’s lifelong hardships and the fact that he did not get to enjoy his later years, his sudden departure brought immense sorrow to his daughter.
According to the death report, Wong Wah Hing passed away on November 18th at 8:43 a.m., with the cause of death being complications from diabetes and hypertension.
Wong Lei Mung’s mother passed away when she was young, and her brother has been out of contact for many years. Therefore, Wong Lei Mung had to care for her blind father. She works as a Grab driver, and her husband is a truck driver. With a meagre income and the responsibility of caring for a young child, she is unable to bear the sudden funeral expenses for her father. As a result, she has entrusted Da Ai to handle the funeral arrangements for her father.
We are handling the whole funeral process for Mr. Wong Wah Hing, which includes body transfer, cremation, prayer ceremony, and ash placement. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate to the funeral so he can rest in peace soon.
If anyone is interested in donating for the whole funeral, kindly contact any social workers at Da Ai for more information. Thank you.
Mr. Wong Wah Hing’s prayer ceremony will be held at Kwong Tong Funeral Parlour (Hall P) in Kuala Lumpur on Monday, November 20, 2023, followed by cremation on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. The ashes will be placed by his family.
