Description

Case No. 1759: Request for assistance in arranging funeral rites for a stillborn baby boy to ensure his journey to the Western Pure Land.

Baby TAMIL ARASAN, who was just 24 weeks old in his mother’s womb, tragically lost his life when his mother, due to sudden discomfort, was rushed to the hospital in the early hours. Despite the doctors’ efforts, they couldn’t save him. The grief-stricken mother, facing financial difficulties, is unable to afford the unexpected funeral expenses and, in her desperation, implores the kind-hearted people for their support and donation.

Before his mother could even hold him, the baby quietly departed. The mother, RAGES A/P ALIMUTHU, is overwhelmed with sorrow. Urgently taken to the hospital by her husband, SATHEESWARAN A/L RAVINDRAN, they had hoped for a chance to save their baby’s life. Unfortunately, the baby left before seeing his parents and the beauty of this world.

According to the death report, the baby passed away at 1:50 AM on October 19th due to “Fresh Stillbirth,” indicating that the baby’s skin was intact when delivered, suggesting that the death occurred during or shortly before childbirth.

The couple has a total of five children, and the mother is responsible for looking after them at home. With a family of seven, they rely solely on the father’s income. The father used to work as a truck driver, but due to unstable employment, income was irregular. To make ends meet, he engaged in small trading to earn a modest income. During this pregnancy, the wife frequently experienced health issues, and the husband had to stay at home to care for his wife and children, which resulted in a loss of income.

Misfortunes never come alone. With the loss of their source of income and the departure of their baby boy, TAMIL ARASAN, the family head finds himself unprepared, filled with sorrow, and unable to bear the expenses of the baby’s funeral. Thus, they have turned to Da Ai for assistance in arranging the baby’s funeral, enabling him to receive Buddhist rituals and blessings so he may journey to the Western Pure Land and be reunited with his mother in the next life.

We are handling the whole funeral process for TAMIL ARASAN, which includes body transfer, prayer ceremony, cremation, and ash placement. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate to the funeral so the baby can rest in peace soon.

If anyone is interested in donating for the whole funeral, kindly contact any social workers at Da Ai for more information. Thank you.

TAMIL ARASAN’s prayer ceremony will be held in Gui Yuan Funeral Parlour Petaling Jaya (Hall 1) on Monday, October 23rd, 2023, at 1.00 pm, followed by cremation on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023. The ashes will be scattered into the sea according to his parents’ wishes.
