Description
Case No. 1755: Urgent appeal to save a baby girl! Four-month-old Joy Lim Ka En urgently needs to purchase three medical devices to save her life due to multilevel upper airway obstruction. We hope that kind-hearted individuals can urgently donate the required RM11,900.00. Thank you.
Joy Lim Ka En is currently in the neonatal intensive care unit and cannot go home. She has been diagnosed with multilevel upper airway obstruction, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and recurrent pneumonia with chronic aspiration syndrome. Doctors also suspect she has a malacic airway, requiring everyone’s care and assistance to help her through this difficult time.
Although Joy underwent tracheal surgery on August 1st, she still requires special medical equipment to continue caring for her airway and breathing. Due to her parents’ financial constraints, they are unable to afford the essential suction machine, perfusor pump, and CPAP machine. We earnestly request your help.
At only four months old, Joy is incredibly adorable, but she can only lie in her hospital bed, crying in pain, moving her tiny hands, and contorting her body in distress, causing immense anguish to her parents. This precious baby, whose life has just begun, is suffering from an illness. We hope to receive everyone’s assistance to aid her speedy recovery and early discharge from the hospital. There are two older sisters at home, eagerly awaiting their little sister’s return.
Joy’s father, Lim Phui Sim, works in a restaurant with a modest income, while her mother, Lee Szee Khi, is a homemaker dedicated to caring for the family. With two older sisters, aged 14 and 7, it is already a challenge for the parents to support their family of five. The birth of Joy and her subsequent diagnosis with multiple illnesses have depleted their meagre savings. They are now unable to purchase the necessary medical equipment that Joy urgently needs, which is why they are reaching out to us for help. They were deeply moved when they knew that we could provide assistance.
Currently, Joy Lim Ka En is still receiving treatment in the neonatal intensive care unit, and the need for further surgical intervention remains uncertain. Nonetheless, her parents are already unable to bear the cost of the medical equipment she urgently requires. They turned to Da Ai and asked for help.
The required medical equipment for Joy consists of three items:
- Suction Machine: RM900.00
- Perfusor Pump: RM2,500.00
- CPAP Machine: RM8,500.00
Total: RM11,900.00
On behalf of her parents, we have initiated this crowdfunding campaign for Joy and earnestly request everyone’s assistance. We also hope that you can help by sharing this message, enabling Joy to receive the three essential medical devices she needs as soon as possible. Thank you.
