Case No. 1735: Request for assistance with funeral expenses for the late Ms. Yoong Ah Heng.
At the age of 73, Ms. Yoong Ah Heng sadly left us due to respiratory difficulties that arose in the middle of the night, and she passed away the following morning. Her unemployed son is unable to manage the unexpected funeral expenses. We humbly implore compassionate individuals nationwide to donate to his dear mother’s funeral so she can rest in peace soon.
Chan Kam Thiam, the eldest son of the departed, shared with social workers that his mother’s health had been deteriorating. She had been experiencing poor appetite and discomfort in her abdomen on Monday, August 7th. Her breathing difficulties persisted into the night, prompting him to tend to her by applying medicated oil and providing companionship. To his shock, he discovered the next morning that his mother was unresponsive in her chair. He immediately administered CPR, hoping for a revival, but sadly, his efforts were in vain. He promptly alerted the authorities, and medical staff confirmed her passing upon arrival.
Witnessing his mother’s lifeless form brought tears of sadness to Chan Kam Thiam’s eyes. The report of death states that Ms. Yoong Ah Heng passed away due to geriatric disease at 10:45 a.m. on August 8th.
Chan Kam Thiam conveyed that his mother had been battling various health issues for a while, often seeking medical attention and medication for diabetes and high blood pressure.
