Description

Case No. 1720 – Part 1: Urgent! Kindly share this message! A 9-year-old girl will not survive without her single-parent mother’s bone marrow transplant. We urgently need RM400,000 to save her little life.
A nine-year-old girl, Chim Kah Qing, has already developed blood spots, blood vessels, bloodstains, blood spots, and blood clots all over her body. Her life has sounded the alarm because her body cannot produce blood, and it is being destroyed every moment. This filled her mother with fear and confusion. The only thing she can do is to listen to the doctor’s advice and have her daughter undergo a bone marrow transplant as soon as possible to save her life. However, the enormous cost of RM400,000.00, which is beyond her means, left her in tears of desperation.
Little girl Chim Kah Qing suffers from aplastic anemia, a condition in which her body can no longer produce blood, rendering medication ineffective. Time is of the essence for her. Without timely surgery, her organs will bleed excessively and fail, ultimately leading to a vegetative state and death.
“I cannot bleed, cannot be cut, and cannot fall. So I didn’t go out to play. I’m angry to have this illness.”
These are the feelings expressed by little sister Kah Qing herself, which are heartbreaking and poignant. Her childhood, which should have been filled with joy and liveliness, forced her to be mature. She no longer yearns to go out and play because she constantly reminds herself not to fall.
When we see the countless needle marks on her body, we cannot imagine what she has been through. Though she still appears young, she knows everything. She also holds onto what her mother tells her, “Be happy every day, and don’t be sad.” Each day, she strives to prevent her mother from being saddened. At such a tender age, she already feels empathy for her mother.
In this difficult time, single-parent mother Gan Swee Ying is willing to sacrifice her own life for her daughter’s because a child is a mother’s entire world. Therefore, she is ready to donate her bone marrow to save her little daughter’s life, as only her marrow can match.
Ms. Gan is racing against time, unable to sleep due to her daughter’s condition. She has already given up her job as a hairstylist to take care of her child at home because, in addition to her daughter’s critical condition, she has a 14-year-old disabled son who requires special attention. As a result, the cost of the surgery remains unattainable, and there were moments when she considered giving up. However, when she thinks of her children, she chooses to be stronger and persevere.
Thus, feeling helpless and without other options, she implores Da Ai to organize crowdfunding to cover her daughter’s surgery costs, appealing to kind-hearted individuals for urgent assistance.
We have decided to initiate a crowdfunding campaign for Kah Qing and hope that the enthusiastic public can contribute their care and encouragement. Let Ms. Gan know that she is not alone in the process of saving her daughter’s life. Every little donation from kind-hearted individuals is a tremendous source of encouragement and assistance, enabling her and her daughter to feel the warmth, love, and hope of society.
We also ask for your help in sharing this message to support Ms. Gan and Kah Qing and provide them with enough confidence and courage to overcome this illness. None of us wants to see Kah Qing, who is optimistic, innocent, and lovely, leave us in helplessness.
As Kah Qing’s condition will only worsen, her body cannot recover on its own due to its inability to produce blood. The situation cannot be further delayed. We earnestly implore kind-hearted individuals to urgently donate towards her daughter’s bone marrow transplant surgery expenses to save this adorable little life. Thank you.

Part 3 – A big thank you to everyone who participated in the crowdfunding campaign for donations and the enthusiasm of enthusiastic people across the country to contribute towards the cost of a bone marrow transplant for little girl Chim Kah Qing.

Well-wishers who understood Kah Qing’s plight donated RM400,000 in her honor, and with the RM50,000 we received through the Da-Ai Campaign, the crowdfunding total has reached RM450,000.

However, Kah Qing’s condition kept relapsing and even after receiving a bone marrow transplant from her mother, she still needed follow-up treatment and could not leave the hospital. the RM450,000 was not enough to cover the cost of Kah Qing’s  follow-up treatment. Fortunately, we received help from the same generous group of people who raised the money for her  follow-up expenses. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to them for their kind words of assistance.

We sincerely hope that Kah Qing will recover and be discharged from the hospital as soon as possible and grow up safely and healthily. We are very grateful for the funds and manpower provided by enthusiastic people across the country. We wish you all good health, safety, family happiness and success in your work.
