Description
Case No. 1705 : The little girl with the big, shiny eyes is loved by everyone, but unfortunately, her life is in danger due to congenital heart disease. We humbly request donations to cover the cost of her life-saving heart surgery.
Amtul Majeed, who is only two years old, was diagnosed with congenital heart disease just three months after she was born. Her family is poor, and her father works day and night just to provide for their basic needs. He cannot afford the RM60,000.00 cost of their daughter’s heart surgery, and he appeals to kind-hearted people for generous donations to save their daughter’s life.
When Amtul Majeed was three months old, her parents noticed that she had difficulty breathing whenever she cried and often had shortness of breath. When they took her to the hospital, she was diagnosed with right ventricular outflow tract obstruction (RVOTO), which caused dysfunction in her right ventricle. This is a congenital heart defect, and her parents were at a loss when they learned of their daughter’s condition. According to medical reports, the doctors urgently recommend that Amtul undergo RVOTO surgery to unblock blood flow to her lungs and preserve her life.
Amtul’s father, Mohammad Maryam, is a packaging worker with a meagre income. The couple also has a 6-year-old daughter, and the wife cannot work because she needs to take care of her daughters. Although Mohammad Maryam is hardworking and works day and night, it is difficult to improve the living conditions of their family of four.
When we, the social workers, visited their home in Kajang, Selangor, we found that there was no rice or food in the house, and the children had difficulty having even one meal. No matter how poor they are, children still need to eat, so we immediately sent rice and noodles to help them out.
Unlike other children of her age who can play and frolic, Amtul’s weak body has taken away her joy and made her face pale. Even a common cold can cause irregular heartbeats, and she recently had to be hospitalised for bronchopneumonia with bronchospasm.
The mother is exhausted from taking care of her little daughter, and the father has had to take time off from work to visit his daughter in the hospital, resulting in a loss of income and further worsening the already poor living conditions of the family.
Amtul’s heart surgery must be performed as soon as possible, as clinical tests indicate that if she does not have surgery in time, she will face breathing difficulties and cardiac arrest, which could cost her life. However, the cost of the surgery is very high, and Mohammad cannot afford it. They have no choice but to seek Da Ai’s help and appeal to the public to crowdfund RM60,000 to help their daughter overcome this life-threatening situation.
We are handling the crowdfunding process and hope that the kind-hearted public will actively help save this little life and reignite hope in this struggling family.
Kindly share this crowdfunding message to help us reach more enthusiastic people. Thank you.
