Description

Case No. 1678: Ng Shin Yuet, born prematurely, is in desperate need of funds for life-saving medical treatment. We earnestly request the public’s help in donating to her medical expenses.

Ng Shin Yuet is an extremely premature baby, born to her mother at only 25 weeks of pregnancy due to severe congenital defects. Her life is in danger, and she urgently needs five injections of Palivizumab-Syangist antibody medication, as well as oxygen therapy, which will cost RM 25,600.00. However, her family is poor and cannot afford the treatment. We earnestly request that the public support the crowdfunding.

Ng Shin Yuet, who is now only 7 months old because she was born too early, has been diagnosed with six serious conditions:

  1. She was born premature at 25 weeks with a birth weight of only 800 grams.
  2. Chronic Lung Disease
  3. CRE carrier: Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae carrier
  4. Subclinical hypothyroidism
  5. Bilateral Ventriculomegaly
  6. ROP stage 3-stage 3 Retinopathy of Prematurity

It is truly shocking and heart-wrenching to see the array of medical conditions that little Shin Yuet has to endure. One cannot imagine the pain and suffering that she has already experienced. As she lays in her hospital bed, mouth open and tongue out, it’s clear to see that this has been a difficult journey for her. We sincerely request the help of the public to support Shin Yuet in receiving the medical treatment she desperately needs, so she may recover soon and lead a healthy life.

Doctors have stated that for a premature baby with such a complex set of medical issues, the risk of contracting the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is quite high. Should she contract RSV, it would put her life in serious danger, a situation that is already challenging to handle.

Shin Yuet has never left the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) since she was born, due to the severity of her condition. Doctors have advised that she requires five doses of Palivizumab-Syangist antibody medication to prevent an RSV infection and oxygen therapy to treat her hypoxia.

Ng Shin Yuet has an older brother. Her father, Mr. Ng, was a businessman but was unable to sustain his business due to the impact of the pandemic. As a result, the family is currently living in extreme poverty. Ng Shin Yuet’s mother cannot work because she needs to take care of her baby in the hospital. While the family can bear the hardships of life, they cannot afford the medical expenses that come with their baby’s critical condition. Ng Shin Yuet is at risk of contracting the RSV virus, which could threaten her life at any moment. Therefore, they turned to us for help and entrusted us to handle the crowdfunding. We are crowdfunding RM 25,600.00 to save their daughter’s life. The crowdfunding details are as follows:

Five doses of Palivizumab-Syangist antibody medication: RM 3,740.00 X 5 = RM 18,700.00

Oxygen machine: RM 6,900.00

Total: RM 25,600.00

At the request of Ng Shin Yuet’s parents, we have launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise RM 25,600.00 to save their daughter’s life. We appeal to the kind-hearted public to generously donate to this cause.

We also kindly ask for your help in sharing this message to reach more people who may be willing to help. Thank you for your kindness and support.
