Description
An urgent plea is made for assistance amounting to RM20,000 to purchase a CPAP machine and cover medical expenses to save the life of a baby boy, who is not even a month old and experiencing difficulty breathing.
Case No. 1766: We earnestly request the generous support of compassionate individuals to help Muhammad Afil Bin Mohd Nashar overcome this critical phase in his life. He developed respiratory sounds and breathing difficulties on the second day after birth. Due to the parents’ meager income, compounded by recent unemployment, they are unable to bear the associated expenses. We appeal for everyone’s generous donations, and your help is deeply appreciated.
Muhammad Afil was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on the 5th day after birth, on October 18, 2023. Doctors confirmed severe neonatal jaundice with presumed sepsis, necessitating blood transfusions and antibiotic treatment in the NICU.
Considering that the baby underwent examination by an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) medical team on the second day of birth, diagnosing bilateral vocal cord paralysis, doctors initially planned a tracheostomy. However, due to the parents’ fear, based on a previous tragic incident involving the loss of their first son during infancy due to intestinal surgery, they declined the surgery. Having already lost one child, they are unwilling to subject Muhammad Afil to surgical risks.
The baby cannot be discharged and must remain hospitalized for ongoing treatment, relying on a CPAP MACHINE for infant respiratory support.
The father, Mohd Nashar, and the mother, Tatik Handayani, both work as construction workers with modest incomes. They also have a 10-year-old daughter in their hometown who relies on them for living expenses. With both parents currently unemployed and without income, they are incapable of covering the expenses for their baby boy.
The arrival of a new life was supposed to be a joyous and anticipated event for the couple. However, having lost a son a few years ago and now facing the financial challenges of their son’s illness, they find themselves helpless and desperate.
To meet the medical expenses for the baby, the father has been seeking loans from friends, but it is far from sufficient. In their profound helplessness, the parents have turned to seeking assistance from Da Ai. Acting on their behalf, Da Ai has decided to crowdfund the required RM20,000.
The breakdown of the crowdfunding includes:
RM8,500 for the CPAP MACHINE
RM11,500 for medical expenses
Total: RM20,000
We implore compassionate people to extend their helping hands to assist the baby in overcoming this challenging period. Besides, we kindly ask for your support in spreading this message to reach more kind-hearted individuals. Thank you.
