“Young couple welcomed an adorable baby boy, but he is diagnosed as having epilepsy. The couple needs donations to afford the treatment cost”
22-year-old young mom Nur Aisyamaira binti Surin gave birth to a baby boy on last year. Friends and family members were jubilant by this news, until a doctor diagnosed the baby boy as having epilepsy. The young couple, however, cannot afford the cost.
Nur Aisyamaira is a clerk while her husband, 28-year-old Zulfadhli bin Zainal is working as a salesperson; the couple is living in Larkin, Johor. As they are working adults, the baby is taken care by his grandmother. When getting his vaccination at the General Hospital, the doctor diagnosed that the baby has epilepsy. Since the hospital does not have the required apparatus, they referred the couple to KPJ Puteri Specialist Hospital for further treatments and diagnosis.
The baby has received 3 computer tomography (CT) scan on his brain and 7 medications. The first medication was to control the symptoms of convulsions, and the first five times were to infuse the drug into the body with a drip. After every time the baby was put on drip, the baby would be tired, sleepy and less active. The drug has effects on the baby’s weight and temper. The doctor changed the treatment to oral medicine during the last two medications, which improved the baby’s conditions.
The baby required frequent admissions and follow-ups; medications and CT scan must be given to control his evulsion and observe his brain nerve activity. After multiple medications, the baby’s evulsion has been stabled. Should the condition deteriorate, the doctor might remove the brain parts that have evulsion through operation. That being said, the risk and cost of the operation are more expensive.
Nur Aisyamaira and Zulfadhli have entrusted Da Ai to crowdfund for them. Persatuan Kebajikan Amal Da Ai Malaysia calls upon enthusiastic philanthropists to lend a hand to them. The required total is RM100,000 for a year with breaks down RM25,000 of Hospitality, RM35,000 of Medicine, and RM40,000 of Medical Equipment.
We hope philanthropists can lend a hand to little Muhammad Zaydan. Should the baby does not fully recover from his illness, then Nur Aisyamaira can spend this fund for the baby’s operation.
We sincerely seek help from everyone to help this, and hope that everyone can share this tragic story to their platforms. Thank you

Our social workers also rushed to their home in Johor to make a final assessment and care for the baby and their family. We learned that although the brain condition will affect the baby’s vision development, it will not threaten the baby’s life. Zaydan’s parents are very grateful for the loving help of everyone.
