The 5-month-old baby girl UMMA HABIBAH has two holes in her heart, one large and one small, which is already life-threatening, and must perform surgery to save her life. The baby girl UMMA HABIBAH MOHD IKRAM unfortunately suffers from heart disease. The medical report pointed out that her atrial septal defect (ASD) and ventricular septal defect (VSD) have a total of two heart holes and must undergo surgery. Without surgery, she would develop worsening heart failure and high lung pressure, which would endanger her life.
A ventricular septal defect (VSD) is a hole in the heart. It is a common congenital heart defect. This hole is larger in the baby girl’s heart. This hole occurs in the walls of the two ventricles (septum) that separate the heart, preventing the normal flow of blood from the heart. The oxygenated blood is then pumped back to the lungs rather than to the body, causing the heart to work harder and dangerously.
The father, MOHD IKRAM OSMAN GHANI, is an employee fish hawker in the market, and his salary is meager. The mother YASMIN ABAS MIAH is a housewife who takes care of her daughter at home. With the birth of their first baby UMMA HABIBAH, the family was originally very happy. However, unfortunately, the baby suffered from a congenital hole in the heart and had to undergo surgery to save her life. As the operation cost was huge, and the couple could not cope with it, they are heartbreaking and helpless.
The father told us that he took the child to the clinic a month ago because she had a bad cough. The doctor then advised him to take the child to the hospital for a detailed examination. After the child is being sent to the hospital, it was classified as an emergency case and needed surgery as soon as possible. Since the father was unable to cope with the surgery expenses, he entrusted Da Ai to assist him in handling the crowdfunding of RM60,000.00 for the 5-month-old UMMA HABIBAH.
