Three-month-old baby girl MONIIKKA was born with severe Bilateral cleft lip and alveolus. The baby needs urgent surgery, or the consequences are severe. However, her single mother cannot afford the surgery fee and living expenses of RM50,000.00 for a family of 5 for two years. We earnestly request the help of enthusiastic public by donating for the baby and her poor family, so that the baby can grow up healthily.

The doctor told us that the repair surgery of the cleft lip of the baby girl MONIIKKA A/P LOKANATHAN must be carried out in July, otherwise, the consequences will be severe, because it has not only affected her drinking and eating, but also affected her respiratory system. As the baby continues to grow, she needs to undergo at least 4 times of cleft lip repair surgery. Thus, we call upon the help of enthusiastic public by donating for the baby girl.

The baby girl’s mother, MENAKA A/P RASALINGAN, is a 34-year-old single mother. She has 4 daughters in total. The eldest daughter is 12 years old; the second daughter is 10 years old; the third daughter is 5 years old, and the youngest daughter is just 3 months old. The family of 5 is all-female, a single-parent vulnerable family in need for help.

When MENAKA was pregnant with MONIIKKA, she once fell and injured her spine. She not only suffered from diabetes, but also had to take care of 4 children, so she was unable to go out to work to support her family. Usually, she could only rely on the RM500 assistance given to single mothers by the ministry to support her living. Our social workers also sent aid materials to her family before, and we also learned that they eat very sparingly every day.

As far as we know, in their home, a pot of rice mixed with vegetarian curry can be heated and eaten for a few days. This is the food they uses to feed themselves. It is so desolate to be so poor, and it makes us heartbreaking.

Although life is very hard, MENAKA never thought of giving up her children, no matter how difficult it is, she will not choose to leave her children. The eldest daughter is a well-behaved girl, and she always get good results in her academic. She also helps her mother take care of her younger sisters when she comes home from school. When her mother needs to take her sister to the hospital for check-up, she will take care of her other younger sisters.

No matter how hard life is, MENAKA still keep on living. However, the baby has to undergo surgery, the daughters have to eat, but she cannot go out to work. She has faced the most severe problem. The helpless MENAKA had to ask Da Ai for help, and under her entrustment, we will handle the crowdfunding throughout the whole process, raising the surgery fee for the three-month-old daughter MONIIKKA and the living expenses for a family of 5 for a total of RM50,000.00 for two years. We sincerely hope that the enthusiastic public can lend a helping hand to help them through this difficult time.
