Description
Chow Shun Rong, an 8-year old boy diagnosed with eye cancer, is facing the cruel reality of losing his eyesight and soon will never be able to see the beautiful world. His father (single parent) cannot afford to send him for cancer treatment due to the fact that he has lost the source of income. It is crucial for the boy to be treated soon or else his future will be at stake. Hence, we urge everyone with a kind heart across the country to render your financial aid to pull together a fund of RM48,000 for his follow-up medical expenses and living expenses in order to pave his future.
Eyes resemble window to the soul thus eyesight is of utmost importance to a person. Chow Shun Rong suffers from hereditary eye cancer, at such a young age he has undergone 9 sessions of chemotherapy treatment. Now he needs to continue his treatment in order to save his eyes. He must not give up any hope at this point thus the possibility lies in the hands of everybody.
Shun Rong’s father (Chow Kim Kiong) also suffers from eye cancer, same goes to the late grandfather (deceased). Chow Kim Kiong was diagnosed with eye cancer at the age of 3 and had resorted to removal of his right eye in an effort to prevent cancer from spreading to his left eye. Such unfortunate inheritance was passed down through 3 generations in a row. Fortunately, the younger son is not afflicted.
Chow Kim Kiong is 53 years old this year. Having to live with one eye since he was a child, he deeply relates himself to his son’s condition. He truly understands the pain of being a disabled person therefore he must not let his son follow his footsteps. The follow-up treatment must carry-on! However, working as a fruit seller in the restaurant does not allow him to make enough to support a family of four bearing his elderly mother who is contracted with chronic health impairments. Moreover, currently he has lost his ability to work since he injured his leg subsequent to a road accident.
How he hopes that he would be able to regain his ability to continue selling fruits, but Shun Rong’s follow-up treatments must not be delayed. He could not take his son to the clinic by means of motor-vehicle since his physical constraint may pose a danger, whereas the costs of transport are obviously a burden. Left with no options, he approached Da Ai to seek help from the public to support the costs of medical and schooling fees.
A visitation to Mr Chow’s home and family was conducted and necessary material aid has been given. We also promised Mr Chow to follow through Shun Rong’s condition. With the entrustment and consent from Mr Chow, we are thereby authorized to handle a crowdfunding campaign on their behalf to raise medical fees and living expenses for a total of RM48,000.
Crowding details:
Medical follow-up fees: RM500 x 24 months = RM12,000
Living Expenses, schooling, transport and miscellaneous: RM1,500 x 24 months = RM36,000
Total: 48,000
We call upon your kindness and generosity to donate and to share this article so more people can join the good deed. Append herewith our utmost sincere gratitude!
