Lee Chun Hui was paralyzed and unable to take care of himself since childhood, and his single father couldn’t work. Therefore, we kindly ask everyone to donate RM43,200 for two years of living and medical expenses to help this family get through this difficult time.
23-year-old Lee Chun Hui was born prematurely and was paralyzed since he was still a baby due to meningitis. As he was unable to take care of himself, his single father gave up his job to take care of him.
Now, the economic difficulties faced by Mr. Lee Boon Huat have become more obvious. He and his son can only rely on rice and noodles donated by benevolent people to survive. At most, they can only eat vegetables and eggs. They have not eaten meat for many years, nor can they afford to buy clothes.
Lee Chun Hui has lived to this day under the protection of his father’s love. 60-year-old single father Lee Boon Huat had to give up his job to take care of his special son. In order to cope with life and stabilize his son’s condition, Lee Boon Huat has tried everything he can. However, his strength is limited, and the difficulties hit him hard, making him exhausted and unable to handle.
Chun Hui’s mother chose to leave the family 6 years ago. After that, Lee Boon Huat, who had undergone goiter surgery, took up the responsibility of taking care of his son. Mr. Lee Boon Huat used to be a factory worker. Now he is in poor health and suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes, and needs medication to control his illness.
Our Da Ai social workers visited them at Puncak Alam, Selangor, and provided them aid materials and care. As life is getting more and more difficult, the EPF savings have been used up, there are no savings, no one can help, and unable to apply for any disability welfare assistance, Mr. Lee Boon Huat was unable to cope with the living and medical expenses of his son.
Adults can starve, but the paralyzed son still has to live, and the son still needs treatment and medicine. Thinking that the poor son did not know how to survive, the helpless Mr. Lee Boon Huat asked us for help and authorized us to handle the crowdfunding, hoping to crowdfund RM43,200 for living and medical expenses for two years to overcome the difficulties.
