Description

40-year-old Foo Tong Loong had a lymphoma relapse in March 2021. Although he is determined to overcome the disease, his remaining insured amount is insufficient for his upcoming treatments. He has entrusted Persatuan Kebajikan Amal Da Ai Malaysia to collect funds for him across Malaysia. A total of RM167,400 is needed (RM150,000 for bone marrow transplantation and RM17,400 for chemotherapies and white blood cell booster injection)

Tong Loong has been diagnosed as having lymphoma in March 2019 and has received a chemotherapy since. However, his lymphoma relapsed on 25th March 2021 where multiple tumours were spotted in his body parts. Due to the severity of the situation, the doctor has arranged a chemotherapy session for him on 5th April 2021. He has used up his insured amount as a result.

Tong Loong’s eldest sister and brother have passed due to illness and cancer respectively, leaving him with two nieces. He treats them as if they were his own; His eldest niece is married while the younger 16-year-old niece is a student.

To fight the cancer, Tong Loong cannot work and has passed his hawker stall to his 70-year-old mother. His niece not only helps on house chores, but she also helps her grandmother at the hawker stall.

The expenses of the family of five is supported by Tong Loong’s 26-year-old wife Voo Yee Jia. As a clerk with a monthly salary of RM2,000, Yee Jia is under huge pressure to support the entire family and her husband’s large medical fees. As he is the pillar of the family, TOng Loong knows he cannot give up easily.

Just when they thought things were getting worse, a kind-hearted person has recommended them to Da Ai. They are currently living in Ipoh, Perak.

When faced with his lymphoma relapse, the doctor informed Tung Loong that he has to receive a chemotherapy every three weeks, with four to six sessions in total required. To avoid cancerous cells from spreading to the liver and other organs, the doctor suggested that he should complete the remaining treatments. Upon finishing the treatment, a successful bone marrow transplantation is needed to avoid any relapses.

Persatuan Kebajikan Amal Da Ai Malaysia calls upon everyone to lend a hand to Mr. Tung Loong and his family. Your donation is highly appreciated as this will help him to overcome these hurdles.
