Description

A 6 year-old boy is calling out to all enthusiastic people across the country to gather a fund of RM20,000 on an urgent need to undergo a treatment course for Ectopic Testis condition. As a matter of fact, living on with untreated Ectopic Testis can lead to further health problems including infertility and cancer.

This adorable boy named Mohammad Mostafa Ameen Alwan Al Maamari was born in Malaysia. His father was forcibly displaced from Yemen of the Middle East as a result of civil war. Whilst many others suffered casualties from the catastrophic war outbreak, his father managed to seek asylum in Malaysia through the help of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR). Several years later, he managed to bring his wife and daughter over and they then had two more sons whereby one of those is Mohammad.

The war in Yemen has been going on for many years and yet peace seems unreachable. The effects of the brutal war has caused over 100,000 children to lose their lives from hunger and illnesses. Countless children are on the brink of death as they are still suffering from malnutrition.

Mohammad’s father mentioned that many innocent civilians who could not escape the tragedy had been killed, thus they were the few fortunate ones. Nevertheless, they are now faced with livelihood challenges and are really desperate to seek help amid the prolonged health conditions. Therefore, they approached Da Ai to launch a crowdfunding campaign for them. Da Ai, who upholds the humanitarian values, is thereby entrusted to coordinate the straight-through process of crowdfunding campaign for a target amount of RM20,000. All kindhearted people are being called upon their generosity to make it happen.

According to Mohammad’s attending physician, Dr Nada, such impairment is advisable to be operated during infant stage in order to prevent deterioration. However, the waiting list in the government hospital is suggesting to no apparent schedule left alone they are refugees.

Doctor advised corrective surgery to be performed soonest or else the testicles might turn cancerous and thereafter become life threatening.

The details of crowdfunding are as follows:
Surgery Costs : RM5,000
Follow-ups + living expenses : RM1,250 x 12 months = RM15,000

Total : RM20,000

We sincerely seek your generosity and kindness to contribute monetarily and to share and forward this article so more people can lend a helping hand. Do not mind the amount as every penny adds up.
